 La Maison Bleue

La Maison Bleue is a luxury guest house located in El Gouna on the Red Sea coast. Set directly on the northern shores of Mangroovy Beach and its kitesurfing stations, it offers seclusion as well as easy access to the town’s facilities. The restaurants, bars, boutiques, and street festival of Abu Tig Marina are in close proximity, and the Downtown shopping and dining venues are a few kilometers away.

With only 10 generously proportioned Rooms, each with its distinct character, guests receive personalized service. Landscaped gardens, a swimming pool, and a swimming lagoon surrounded by a private beach invite relaxation. Massages, sauna, and Turkish bath are available at the on-site spa. Culinary treats are provided by our chef making the most of seasonal ingredients and a creative barman mixing original cocktails.

La Maison Bleue is home to a Venetian facade and marble floors inspired by Saint Mark’s Basilica of Venice, reproductions of Minoan murals from Santorin, and a mosaic colonnade inspired by Barcelona’s Palace of Catalan Music. As though traveling through time and place, guests can dine on art deco furniture by French designer Leleu before relaxing on Italian Empire furniture in front of an art nouveau fireplace in the salon. Expert touches include the architectural layout and drawings developed by Olivier Sednaoui, a student of the great Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy, as well as gardens laid out by the famous French landscaper Louis Benech. Romantic balconies and sheltered alcoves are perfect hideouts from which to contemplate the turquoise lagoon and the sea.

La Maison Bleue caters to a clientele accustomed to the excellence of luxury hotels. Couples can rely on flawless organization to celebrate special occasions, while celebrities can rest assured that their privacy will be respected. Evoking the grandeur of olden times while offering all the modern amenities, La Maison Bleue transports you into a different world any yet makes you feel right at home.

The opulent mansion is the brainchild of antiques collector and interior designer Amr Khalil, who envisioned it like the dream home of an imaginary 19th century Levantine merchant and turned it into a spectacular fantasy. Architectural influences and décor elements from Italy, Turkey, Syria, and North Africa blend seamlessly with antique European furniture and ornaments from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
